THE VOICE OF WOMEN.

In the church of the future, there is a need for the voice of women to be heard and acknowledged. The question which concerns any woman of faith is how to improve the flexibility of church hierarchies, especially in the education of male preachers, such as priests, as well as vicars and pastors. There is a growing emergence of women as preachers in some churches, but is it enough?

One step would be to allow more women to assist in future decision making about the future direction of any church. Listening to the voice of women of faith is a vital procedure. Women of faith are supporting church communities all over the world. Their faith in God is strong. All people of faith should be educated to be inclusive, like Jesus was. Walking humbly with our God can overcome any disappointments in life or the church.

Part of this important process of including women of faith in the future of the churches of the 21st Century, is to educate and include younger women and girls to serve at our altars. Gaps seem to have appeared, from the very young at Sunday School, to the elderly staunch faithful. Younger and middle-aged women would need to be included as participants in churches of the future. The voice of all women of faith needs to be participate, and be heard, both through prayer, reading the Scripture, worship, and sharing talents.

Changing church cultures to be more inclusive must stem from the faithful communities in the future. For example, many women do believe the Vatican’s hierarchy needs to improve their views of the role of women in the future of the Church. Any church in these pandemic times must incorporate unity, to change for the better in a time of change.

Essentially, the role of women of faith does need inclusion in the church of the future. This would establish and enhance the voice of women in their place in religious history.
